Hair Obsession: Messy Bob

Hello pretties! A beauty post today! Yay! So recently I have been obsessed with a certain hairstyle..this hairstyle is the messy bob. When I was younger (I want to say early early teens or right before my teens) I always had my hair very short, and one time I wanted to be very risky and get a super short "bob".. it turned out awful and was not what I wanted so I have been scarred ever since and have kept my hair super long. I think I may keep my hair long for another year as I have prom this coming June, but after that it may be time for a risky change. Lately I have seen photos on tumblr and such of these messy bobs and I am in LOVE. I am not a fan of a clean cut all length crisp bob, but these uneven, messy jagged ones look so fashion forward and hip to me!

Here are some of my favourites that I've found on the interwebz

 

 I guess this is a bit longer than an actual "bob" but I looove this hair style, it's choppy, messy... love! Alexa always rocks this hair amazingly.

 

 



I think this style of bob is fantastic. I love how it is a bit longer on the side that her bangs are, and again it is super choppy and jagged. It would be a completely different look if the hair was cut perfectly even and straight.

 

I saw this photo on tumblr and I think this is what got me started on a messy bob. Again I LOVE how it is a bit longer on her bangs side, and again you can tell even on the other side the hair is not cut perfectly even. It makes it look a lot edgier.

 

 

I came across this photo online and I thought it was a great one to show because it shows all angles. This is called a graduating bob. I think it's a bit dramatic then the other ones if you look online. You can see from all angles the hair is cut in layers, and at different choppy lengths. It is not a straight across clean cut bob.

NEONS- Do you dare to try?

Hello lovelies..another fashion post! Right now the sun is shining, the heat is heavy- it is most definitely SUMMER! For me, I love to have bright colours in the summer, and neons are just the way to make your outfits POP for summer!

Neons can be a great way to really brighten up your look and take your look from bland to glam.

 

 

 

Here are some of my favourite looks i've found online.

 

I love this mix of a neon pink and that gorgeous neon yellow bag!

 

I adore this neon orange top!

 

 



 

I love the way these super neon yellow skirts are worn! A casual darker top can make tone down the craziness of the colour so you don't feel too much, but also really make it pop!

 

 

FEEL TO RISKY FOR YOUR TASTE? TRY AN ACCENT NEON!

 

Adding an accent neon through accessories is one awesome way to really make an outfit that much more fun, without you feeling out of your comfort zone! Neon shoes, clutches even accessories can make a huge difference to an outfit if you don't want a huge statement piece like a top or skirt!

Outfit Of The Day!

Hello lovelies, hope you're all doing fabulous! I know I am! Here's just a little picture of a fun little outfit I wore to work..... I love skirts and crop tops, I think it looks so cute and girly but simple and super cozy! I must get my hands on some more... The shirt I wore isn't actually a crop top, I just tied it to be one :)

Manicure Monday- Glittery Goodness!

Hello lovelies, hope you are having a wonderful Monday although they can usually be quite rubbish.... If you're having a case of the Monday blue's, just think about what you have in life right now to smile about :)
Now, I must admit I am absolutely awful at painting my nails, I get the nail polish all over my fingers and  I even get it on my face... (don't ask how because quite frankly i'm not too sure) But, I was quite pleased with how I did my nails today because they are better than usual!

I am absolutely in love with the mint colour lately, I think it looks fresh girly and fun! And as most of you know... i'm obsessed with glitter..... so I decided to play up a normal French manicure and do a GLITTER French manicure! exciting I know...

Hello lovelies! Didn't I tell you exciting news was on the way? Yes, the title you have read is correct...I ... will be filming my first youtube video....TOMORROW...Ok well I must admit this isn't my first it's my second but I hated my other two so I deleted them the next day...But tomorrow I hope to film a decent one! I will be doing a Get ready with me :) I love those ones, they are fast and fun and I love seeing the transformation! What kind of other videos would you like to see me do? I am SO open to ideas!

Lipstick CRAZY

Hello lovelies
So, I thought it was time to do a beauty post! And why not kick it off with my beauty OBSESSION this season! All of a sudden I have this absolute love for lipsticks.. I never have before- but let me tell you, it is very rare I leave the house now without my lipstick. Here are my 4 favourite shades...

This one is by Mac, and it's called Ravishing.... It is a perfect coral/nude colour for spring...not too dull, not too orangy- just PERFECT! This is from their crèmesheen collection and it goes on soo nicely!

 

Aah so this one is by L'Oreal Paris and it's called True Red...Now, let me tell you- it took me FOREVER to find the perfect red shade, and this is just that. It is NOT too orange tinted, nor too pink tinted, it is seriously a true red. Perfect for my skin tone ( I am very pale but with rosy cheeks) I absolutely love this red and I highly recommend it for any skin tones. The consitency is amazing and it really lasts!

 

I LOVE THIS COLOUR SO MUCH! This is my favourite colour for spring, it is a bright bright pink By Maybelline in the colour Shocking Coral from their NEW VIVIDS collection. I really wanted to find a bright pink colour for spring just to be fun and feel girly and this one is just so perfect! AH-MA-ZING!

 

Okay okay I know what you're thinking... what the f%$! is this?! Trust me I had the same reaction... I was looking for a perfect plum colour, and I could not find it anywhere, when I saw this I was NOT even going to consider it..but then I was like well it won't work but i'll just put it on for giggles...and I FELL IN LOVE! This is by Mac in the colour Feel My Pulse from their cremesheen collection as well. Just the slightest bit of this goes a long way, and for me it is the perfect purply plum I am looking for..If I want it really bold i'll apply more but again, a little is enough!

Nice hair, darlin'

Happpppy Wednesday! almost the end of the week...WE CAN DO THIS!

SO, today is a beauty post- all on my favourite hair trends that I thought I would share with you along with some tips on how to achieve them!

                    

This is look is so simple, yet so pretty! I love the messy curl wave look, so easy to do and you're that much closer to looking like a victoria secret model! ;) I usually do it by using my 1 1/2 inch curling iron, curl my entire head then flip my head and shake it all about to mess it up and break up the curls!

 

 

Now this is one of my favourites....I love the big loose curls, they just make me feel so girly and I feel like I can rock a runway with them! for this look you can achieve it using a variety of ways...

 

1) Hot rollers- instead of putting them the traditional way sectioning them up the top of ur head/ sides/etc just curl them at the bottoms to get this specific look!

 

2) Wand- This is the newest and hottest hair tool! So easy to use...just simply wrap the BOTTOMS of your hair around the wand, hold for a few seconds, and voila! if they come out to tight, run your fingers through them

 

3) Straightener- Yep you heard it! If you DIDN'T know... you can achieve voluminous and bouncy curls with your straightener! Simply place the straightener on your hair, then twirl it downwards as you drag the straightener along your hair......I know sounds confusing but look it up on youtube and you'll see how easy it is!! I promise!

 

And lastly, the messy topknot....oh how I adore this look for those early rushed mornings!

Ok so I find these buns the easiest.....messy buns never work for me but these seem to work the best! I literally gather up all my hair, twist it, then put the hair-tie around it! The messier the better....

 

 



Manicure Monday!

Why hello there glitter bugs! Even though today is Monday, and we are often tired, cranky, and just want it to be the weekend dammit!! But, one of my favourite ways to spice up my day, and start my week off feeling girly and fun is some killer nails!
Painting your nails is such an easy way to spice up your everyday look, so here are some of my favourite ones!

If you don't want to have all your nails full of glitter or designs, try doing an accent nail! Easy way to spice up plain nails :)
