Fashion Obsession: Plaid Shirts

Hello lovelies, it's been a while! I apologize for my lack of blogging...it's a long story. Lately I have been experimenting a lot more with my fashion, and let me tell you- it is GREAT! I've always stuck to the classic preppy styles, but lately have had my eyes on different types of fashion, including a "grungier" look..... Plaid has become a staple piece to my outfits. I pair one with EVERYTHING! I am obsessed. I find that a plaid shirt wrapped around your waist gives your look a chilled out, street chic vibe.

Mix n Match- Print CRAZY!

Hiiiii pretty people of the internet.... happy Tuesday! I am very excited about today's post which is all about mixing prints. Oh I can just hear some of you cringe! But YES lovelies, it is totally ok to now mix and match crazy prints! I have seen this happening a lot in fashion magazines lately and I have absolutely fallen in love with this trend. I honestly never even considered matching bold prints together because I thought it was just a major fashion no no...well, safe to say I am definitely going to be mixing prints from now on! HELLO FUN FASHION!

Ok, I am obsessed with this outfit. It's so cool and chilled out but so fun. That blouse to me looks like some sort of animal, maybe a dog or horse? either way I ADORE it, I think a funky print of dogs or something is soooo cute. and look at that skirt! another crazy print, but goes so perfectly with that top. Mix and match A+

 

 

Ahhhh! Now this, this is my favourite. I think these two prints look so perfect together, and I love how it is sort of a mix of contrasting colours. These prints look really polished together and add a really girly feel. They are both super busy prints but look how well they go together!

 

I LOVE the look of mixing a classic, neutral vertical stripe piece with a vibrant crazy print. This look is sophisticated but oh so fun! The top is very simple and neutral so it is totally ok to mix it with a bold coloured print skirt like the one above! LOVE!

 

 

And lastly, I thought this was a cool picture to show because it shows you can mix multiple prints together and still keep the look very toned down and simple! This gorgeous street style lady is mixing together a total of 4 prints! Crazy right?! Her shoes are very casual but are printed ( I can't tell what type of print but it looks like bows or something?), she has a light flower printed wash jean which is great because the light wash tones it down a bit, again we see a classic NEUTRAL vertical stripe top, and then she has a funky polka dotted scarf which is a bit vibrant then the rest of her pieces to add an extra pop! All of these colours and prints blend together perfectly and I think this is such a cool outfit.

Fashion Obsession: Boyfriend Jeans

Hello pretties! Today as I was shopping around in Toronto I fell in love with a not so new trend.... the boyfriend jean. For those who don't know this is a style that became popular last year in which a girl wears a pair of baggy jeans to look as though it is her wearing her "boyfriends jeans". So what does this mean? COMFORT! Goodbye skin tight skinny jeans..hello baggy comfy boyfriend jeans! Here are a few pictures I found online of my favourite ways to wear the boyfriend jean.

Kate Middleton Fashion Series Part 2- Gala Fashion

Hello pretties! The Kate Middleton Fashion series has returned! If you haven't seen part 1 to this series click here.
This second part of the series is all about Kate's beautiful and elegant fashion when she attends gala's and events and is not in her proper "royal" wear. Let's take a looksey at some of my favourite looks!

Kate looks absolutely stunning in this gown, it is simple but absolutely GORGEOUS! I love the light lilac colour, and that jeweled belt adds the perfect royal touch. Kate has a very small frame but this gown falls perfectly on her and is not too overwhelming.. SHE wears this dress, it definitely does not wear her! Her hair with the gown is perfect as well, not too done up- she looks effortlessly beautiful.

 

 

 I think we can all agree that this colour is STUNNING on Kate, and definitely not an easy colour to pull off. The lace shoulders definitely add a beautiful but also risqué effect to this gown, and I love how the lace peeps through at the neckline as well in the cut outs on her waist which help show her tiny frame. Absolutely beautiful



 THIS DRESS...I CAN'T! IT'S OH SO BEAUTIFUL! Is it just me or does this gown have a mermaid feel? But in the best way! I loooove the pink/silver colour with a metallic "coat" over top if you will...and the cut out details are gorgeous! They are done perfectly so the dress stays classy and elegant and not rugged. And those chiffon shoulders....I love

This last look is definitely very simple, but beautiful. It takes quite the woman to pull of such a look like this. It could make a lot of people look very washed out since it is such a plain dress and also very long (sleeves and legs) with also a very high neckline. But Kate, as always makes it look high fashion. Even though this dress is very plain, it is quite stunning. The slit at the legs give it that extra unf, and the way it is fitted, yet still flows beautifully.

Fashion Favourite (male edition)- Harry Styles

Hello lovelies! Hope you are all well. Today's post is maybe just a tad bit of fan-girling.. but I will tone it down. My top male crush is most definitely Harry Styles. Unless you live under a rock where there is no access to music, wifi, tv, etc well then you must know who this is that I speak of. Harry Styles is of course from the band One direction, and I am of course obsessed with them...and him...especially him. But I am not going on about how I love him and the 1D boys but how much I adore his fashion!
Harry adds his own flare on everything he wears, and is definitely rocker chic, his casual every day clothing has an edgy not-to-try-hard-esque feel, and always just looks just so damn cool. He still keeps his preppy English boy style in his fancier event clothing, but always adds his own flair. 

Let's take a looksy at some of my favourite looks shall we?

Casual:

I love how he has a blazer but makes it very casual with a plain tee, beanie and jeans!

 

I love how he pairs a cozy cable knit sweater with a top hat! It instantly adds his own flair and gives it that edgier look!

 Love the pairing of a dark shirt, dark vest and dark jacket, dark pants but then with a little pop of colour just in the pocket with a white hankerchief!

Kate Middleton Fashion Series Part 1- Royal Fashion

Why hello lovelies, hope you all are enjoying your day! In honour of all this royal excitment I am going to be doing a Kate Middleton fashion post! There will be 4 parts to this series; Royal fashion, Pregnant fashion, gala/event fashion,  and fascinators. Kate Middleton to me has the best style I have seen. It is classic, elegant, and beautiful- exactly how a duchess should dress! I am always excited to see what she will where to an event, and she always looks absolutely stunning. So let's get started!

Here are some of my favourite looks of Kate before her pregnancy! I call this the Royal fashion because it is so classic and are looks she wore for specific royal events.

NEONS- Do you dare to try?

Hello lovelies..another fashion post! Right now the sun is shining, the heat is heavy- it is most definitely SUMMER! For me, I love to have bright colours in the summer, and neons are just the way to make your outfits POP for summer!

Neons can be a great way to really brighten up your look and take your look from bland to glam.

 

 

 

Here are some of my favourite looks i've found online.

I love the way these super neon yellow skirts are worn! A casual darker top can make tone down the craziness of the colour so you don't feel too much, but also really make it pop!

 

 

FEEL TO RISKY FOR YOUR TASTE? TRY AN ACCENT NEON!

 

Adding an accent neon through accessories is one awesome way to really make an outfit that much more fun, without you feeling out of your comfort zone! Neon shoes, clutches even accessories can make a huge difference to an outfit if you don't want a huge statement piece like a top or skirt!

Feathers Galore... I Die!

Hello lovelies! Time for a fashion post..

 

Now this... this has got to be in my top favourite red carpet looks of ALL TIME! Eva Longoria in a stunning feather dress at the Cannes 2012 Festival.... Now this to me is not "so last year" and it will never go out of style.. It's classic, elegant.. and absolutely STUNNING

 

 

 

 

 The detailing of this dress is absolutely stunning. This gown is girly, edgy, classy and just darn beautiful! I love how it cascades behind her and I love how it looks painted on to her body because of the nude mesh material.
