Mix n Match- Print CRAZY!

Hiiiii pretty people of the internet.... happy Tuesday! I am very excited about today's post which is all about mixing prints. Oh I can just hear some of you cringe! But YES lovelies, it is totally ok to now mix and match crazy prints! I have seen this happening a lot in fashion magazines lately and I have absolutely fallen in love with this trend. I honestly never even considered matching bold prints together because I thought it was just a major fashion no no...well, safe to say I am definitely going to be mixing prints from now on! HELLO FUN FASHION!

Ok, I am obsessed with this outfit. It's so cool and chilled out but so fun. That blouse to me looks like some sort of animal, maybe a dog or horse? either way I ADORE it, I think a funky print of dogs or something is soooo cute. and look at that skirt! another crazy print, but goes so perfectly with that top. Mix and match A+
Ahhhh! Now this, this is my favourite. I think these two prints look so perfect together, and I love how it is sort of a mix of contrasting colours. These prints look really polished together and add a really girly feel. They are both super busy prints but look how well they go together!
I LOVE the look of mixing a classic, neutral vertical stripe piece with a vibrant crazy print. This look is sophisticated but oh so fun! The top is very simple and neutral so it is totally ok to mix it with a bold coloured print skirt like the one above! LOVE!
And lastly, I thought this was a cool picture to show because it shows you can mix multiple prints together and still keep the look very toned down and simple! This gorgeous street style lady is mixing together a total of 4 prints! Crazy right?! Her shoes are very casual but are printed ( I can't tell what type of print but it looks like bows or something?), she has a light flower printed wash jean which is great because the light wash tones it down a bit, again we see a classic NEUTRAL vertical stripe top, and then she has a funky polka dotted scarf which is a bit vibrant then the rest of her pieces to add an extra pop! All of these colours and prints blend together perfectly and I think this is such a cool outfit.
Well lovelies I hope you enjoyed this post! What do you think of mixing prints? Love or hate? And which look out of these 4 is your favourite!? Tell me in the comments below!

Meet The Blogger

Hiiiii my pretty people of the internet! Hope you all are doing lovely things in this lovely world today! I was thinking of what type of blog post to do next and it crossed my mind that I actually haven't made a real blog post about myself, so I thought it was about time! Here we goooooo...

I'm a silly, free spirit 17 year old girl from good old Canada...
I love everything glitter, gold, girly, pink, pearls, lace
I like to laugh... a lot. I truly think it is the best medicine
I am in love with life. I try to seize every minute of it as I know it can be taken away any second (so cliché. I know, i'm embarrassed too)
I am a total obsesser. If I like something....I realllllly like it.
I love a wide range of music, but I always will have a special place in my heart for cheesy pop ;)
One Direction is my favourite, i'm totally not even ashamed.
I also love Little Mix, Girls Aloud, The Saturdays, Ellie Goulding, Lana Del Rey, The Lumineers, Mumford and sons, Beyoncé, just to name a few. (trust me, there is a lot more)
I have been through many hardships, all of what has made me the strong person I am today ( I may do a blog post on some of these times later on, but right now I am just not ready)
This year, I found a friend who inspires me daily, inspires me to be a better person, and to be the best version of myself I can be. Her name is Sarah, she has a blog too. (click here to see it) I have been looking for a friend like this for a long time....and it seems to have just fallen in my hands.
Ever since me and her have become close, I have been happier. I can't thank her enough for this.
I want to do something big with my life. I love performing.
Singing, acting, dancing- these are all things I would love to pursue, and I am going to make it happen. I have to
I am in my last year of high school (EEK)
I will hopefully be going to university, I am planning on doing a double major in Theatre and English.
I love a good book, reading takes me to this imaginary world and I completely get lost in it.
My favourite book is Perks Of Being A Wallflower. It really changed my life.
Chicken alfredo pasta is my favourite meal in the whole wide world.
I also love burgers.....
I love TV! I think there is nothing cozier then sitting at home in your PJ's all cozy with a nice cuppa tea watching your favourite tv show.
My favourites shows are The Real Housewives (Orange county and New Jersey are my two favourite ones)
XFactor, Pretty Little Liars, Degrassi, Keeping Up With The Kardashians, Million dollar listing, America's Next Top Model, and the list goes on.
My family means the world to me. I cherish them so much.
My mom is literally my best friend (other than my chummy sarah)
11 weeks ago a little joy came into my life, my first sibling! My little brother Chase. He is just a peach.
I love people who inspire me (*cough* Sarah)
I love listening to people talk about what they are passionate about.
I am obsessed with starbucks.. ugh how typical of me
I am obsessed with fashion, beauty and house décor.
I love antique shops
I love sitting in a cozy café.
I am definitely optimistic about a lot. The glass is always half full with me, not half empty.
I am ME, and I am finally comfortable with that.
I am confident in myself now and confident in what I love. I think that is important and I am so happy to have reached that point. (Ugh yes I am going to bring up Sarah again hate me if you want, but she has helped me reach that point.)
Well, I think that is enough for now! I hope you enjoyed finding out a little bit more about me! Tell me about yourself in the comments below! Or write a blog post about yourself and link it down below :)

Fashion Obsession: Boyfriend Jeans

Hello pretties! Today as I was shopping around in Toronto I fell in love with a not so new trend.... the boyfriend jean. For those who don't know this is a style that became popular last year in which a girl wears a pair of baggy jeans to look as though it is her wearing her "boyfriends jeans". So what does this mean? COMFORT! Goodbye skin tight skinny jeans..hello baggy comfy boyfriend jeans! Here are a few pictures I found online of my favourite ways to wear the boyfriend jean.

Who ever thought you could be completely fashion forward, fancy AND comfortable?! What do you think of the boyfriend jean? Totally trendy? Or totally not? Let me know in the comments below!

Hair Obsession: Messy Bob

Hello pretties! A beauty post today! Yay! So recently I have been obsessed with a certain hairstyle..this hairstyle is the messy bob. When I was younger (I want to say early early teens or right before my teens) I always had my hair very short, and one time I wanted to be very risky and get a super short "bob".. it turned out awful and was not what I wanted so I have been scarred ever since and have kept my hair super long. I think I may keep my hair long for another year as I have prom this coming June, but after that it may be time for a risky change. Lately I have seen photos on tumblr and such of these messy bobs and I am in LOVE. I am not a fan of a clean cut all length crisp bob, but these uneven, messy jagged ones look so fashion forward and hip to me!

Here are some of my favourites that I've found on the interwebz

I guess this is a bit longer than an actual "bob" but I looove this hair style, it's choppy, messy... love! Alexa always rocks this hair amazingly.

I think this style of bob is fantastic. I love how it is a bit longer on the side that her bangs are, and again it is super choppy and jagged. It would be a completely different look if the hair was cut perfectly even and straight.
I saw this photo on tumblr and I think this is what got me started on a messy bob. Again I LOVE how it is a bit longer on her bangs side, and again you can tell even on the other side the hair is not cut perfectly even. It makes it look a lot edgier.
I came across this photo online and I thought it was a great one to show because it shows all angles. This is called a graduating bob. I think it's a bit dramatic then the other ones if you look online. You can see from all angles the hair is cut in layers, and at different choppy lengths. It is not a straight across clean cut bob.
How do you feel about the messy bob? Tell me below! Do you have a specific hairstyle you're obsessed with? Be sure to comment that as well!

Kate Middleton Fashion Series Part 2- Gala Fashion

Hello pretties! The Kate Middleton Fashion series has returned! If you haven't seen part 1 to this series click here.
This second part of the series is all about Kate's beautiful and elegant fashion when she attends gala's and events and is not in her proper "royal" wear. Let's take a looksey at some of my favourite looks!

Kate looks absolutely stunning in this gown, it is simple but absolutely GORGEOUS! I love the light lilac colour, and that jeweled belt adds the perfect royal touch. Kate has a very small frame but this gown falls perfectly on her and is not too overwhelming.. SHE wears this dress, it definitely does not wear her! Her hair with the gown is perfect as well, not too done up- she looks effortlessly beautiful.

I think we can all agree that this colour is STUNNING on Kate, and definitely not an easy colour to pull off. The lace shoulders definitely add a beautiful but also risqué effect to this gown, and I love how the lace peeps through at the neckline as well in the cut outs on her waist which help show her tiny frame. Absolutely beautiful

THIS DRESS...I CAN'T! IT'S OH SO BEAUTIFUL! Is it just me or does this gown have a mermaid feel? But in the best way! I loooove the pink/silver colour with a metallic "coat" over top if you will...and the cut out details are gorgeous! They are done perfectly so the dress stays classy and elegant and not rugged. And those chiffon shoulders....I love

This last look is definitely very simple, but beautiful. It takes quite the woman to pull of such a look like this. It could make a lot of people look very washed out since it is such a plain dress and also very long (sleeves and legs) with also a very high neckline. But Kate, as always makes it look high fashion. Even though this dress is very plain, it is quite stunning. The slit at the legs give it that extra unf, and the way it is fitted, yet still flows beautifully.
Well that is it! A few of my favourite looks Kate has worn. I hope you enjoyed the second part to my Kate Middleton fashion series! Next up..pregnancy fashion! What is your favourite look of Kate's from here? Or of hers to date? Let me know in the comments below!

Some Girls Are Just Born With Glitter In Their Veins............

Hello pretties! I am deciding to call you all pretty from now on? Is that ok? Today's post is about letting yourself SHINE, letting yourself SPARKLE. Some girls (and boys) are just born with an extra little sparkle in their veins.... a sparkle that deserves to be shown! Lovelies, do not hold yourself back. If you have ambitions, passions, dreams and goals- LET YOUR GLITTER SHINE! Make all those hopes and dreams a reality! Some of us want to be doctors, some of us want to be vets, secretary, teacher, and some, some just want to shine. Whatever your dream is, whatever your goal may be always remember to never hold back. If you are feeling this feeling of passion, a feeling that you need to make something of yourself, that is your glitter, your sparkle trying to be released into the world. If you have glitter in your veins, share that glitter with the world, let the glitter sparkle through your face like a disco ball. Everyone has a purpose in this world... it's our job as individuals to find our purpose and share it with the world. Be fabulous, be you, be everything you want to be because if you dream it can happen, it can.
What are some of your dreams? Big or small! Share them below...

Fashion Favourite (male edition)- Harry Styles

Hello lovelies! Hope you are all well. Today's post is maybe just a tad bit of fan-girling.. but I will tone it down. My top male crush is most definitely Harry Styles. Unless you live under a rock where there is no access to music, wifi, tv, etc well then you must know who this is that I speak of. Harry Styles is of course from the band One direction, and I am of course obsessed with them...and him...especially him. But I am not going on about how I love him and the 1D boys but how much I adore his fashion!
Harry adds his own flare on everything he wears, and is definitely rocker chic, his casual every day clothing has an edgy not-to-try-hard-esque feel, and always just looks just so damn cool. He still keeps his preppy English boy style in his fancier event clothing, but always adds his own flair.

Let's take a looksy at some of my favourite looks shall we?

I love how he has a blazer but makes it very casual with a plain tee, beanie and jeans!
I love how he pairs a cozy cable knit sweater with a top hat! It instantly adds his own flair and gives it that edgier look!

Look at that jacket.... I DIE

Love the pairing of a dark shirt, dark vest and dark jacket, dark pants but then with a little pop of colour just in the pocket with a white hankerchief!

Ugh...excuse me while I SWOON! What do you think of Harry Styles' fashion? Which male has the best fashion in your eyes! Comment below!

Kate Middleton Fashion Series Part 1- Royal Fashion

Why hello lovelies, hope you all are enjoying your day! In honour of all this royal excitment I am going to be doing a Kate Middleton fashion post! There will be 4 parts to this series; Royal fashion, Pregnant fashion, gala/event fashion,  and fascinators. Kate Middleton to me has the best style I have seen. It is classic, elegant, and beautiful- exactly how a duchess should dress! I am always excited to see what she will where to an event, and she always looks absolutely stunning. So let's get started!

Here are some of my favourite looks of Kate before her pregnancy! I call this the Royal fashion because it is so classic and are looks she wore for specific royal events.

How cute does she look! Pretty in pink!

My favourite dress Kate has worn

I would DIE for that coat! LOVE!

Does she not just look so classy in this coat dress for st patricks day?! SO ADORABLE!
I absolutely adored her outfits when she came to Canada, and being a Canadian I especially loved how she tried to incorporate our colours and the maple leaf in her fascinators! Thanks Kate! xx
Kate's Canada look #2
I couldn't find a better quality photo for this outfit but I LOVE the all white look on Kate, so simple and elegant.. I also adore this tutu style coat!

Oh how cute is this a-line yellow trench?!
Like this post? Stay tuned for the second part to the Kate Middleton fashion series! Next up: Gala fashion... I will show my favourite glam looks Kate has absolutely rocked!
-And a big congratulations to Will and Kate on their baby boy!

NEONS- Do you dare to try?

Hello lovelies..another fashion post! Right now the sun is shining, the heat is heavy- it is most definitely SUMMER! For me, I love to have bright colours in the summer, and neons are just the way to make your outfits POP for summer!
Neons can be a great way to really brighten up your look and take your look from bland to glam.
Here are some of my favourite looks i've found online.

I love this mix of a neon pink and that gorgeous neon yellow bag!
I adore this neon orange top!

I love the way these super neon yellow skirts are worn! A casual darker top can make tone down the craziness of the colour so you don't feel too much, but also really make it pop!

Adding an accent neon through accessories is one awesome way to really make an outfit that much more fun, without you feeling out of your comfort zone! Neon shoes, clutches even accessories can make a huge difference to an outfit if you don't want a huge statement piece like a top or skirt!
Have fun with your wardrobe! Play around with colours, patterns... BE YOU! :)xx
